Lidded Jars - Online Workshop

From the sugar bowl to the large cookie jar, this online workshop will be all about pots with lids. We will make several sizes and shapes with knobs that relate to the form. One of the demonstrations will be geared toward throwing a larger size jar. We will also work on integrating high temperature wire as a knob or loop for holding a scoop. Our making will emphasize lids that both fit and relate to the body of the pot. The two our session will include an image presentation, and demonstrations. Demonstrations will include throwing, trimming, making knobs and line decoration (time permitting). Hosted on the Zoom platform, the class will be geared toward observation with the option of going back and integrating the techniques later. The chat section will be used for questions. Participate during the scheduled time, and/or learn from viewing the recording later. Participants will be able to download a copy of the workshop recording through Google Drive to have for indefinite personal use.
