"Floral Expression: Vases & Flower Bricks”
February 26th- 11am - 2pm MST

In the middle of winter, this class will remind us that spring is on its way! The class will cover thrown vase forms and rectangular flower bricks. Making a vase form requires the skill of throwing a tall, thin cylinder. Making a flower brick involves the skills of throwing and altering a cylinder into a rectangle, and then adding a slab base and lid. This three-hour session will include an image presentation, demonstrations, and a question and answer session. Demonstrations will include throwing, altering, slab-building, and making small decorative handles. Hosted on the Zoom platform, the class will be geared toward observation. Participants are encouraged to go back and try the techniques in their home studio later. Participate during the scheduled time and/or learn from viewing the recording later.
